The Excursion around Merzouga starts at any time you wish but is better in the morning or in the evening to see the sunset behind a spectacular view of golden sand dunes.

The driver guide will pick you up in your hotel in Merzouga or Hassilabied village in a comfortable 4×4 vehicle with A/C. And you will drive to ( Merzouga Lake if there is water to see births, it’s seasonal lake ). Drive to Khamlia village known as black town. Most of inhabitant are black people originally slaves from Sudan. They still hold their old traditional music and culture. after a glass of mind tea and traditional Gnawa music in black town. We will continue driving on unpaved roads of Paris Dakar Till we will get to the black mountains where you will see the panoramic view of Erg Chebbi sand dunes from far away. and the border of Algeria.

After that we will head to the phosphate mines and an old isolated and ruined village built by the French army during the French occupation in Morocco. Our following destination will be the nomad families in the black desert living in Berber tents. the hospitality of a nomad family with mint tea. explore the life of nomad in the Desert then go back by different road enjoying driving on sand dunes.
